RE: END OF TERM I STUDENTS’ COUNCIL REPORT
According to the observations made and reports received by the councilors at large, the term which began on 27th of January, 2013 by the Students’ leaders has been a busy one with a lot of activities here and there. These are some of the general reports made;

PRAYERS: The time for prayer conduction has improved especially Asir and Dhuhr prayers which were formally performed late. There has been a decline in Swallah attendance by the students at large e.g. Maghrib prayers due to a number of reasons like M.D.D practice.

CLEANLINESS: The general cleanliness has improved. We would like to appreciate the cleanliness department and the students who have given in during the general cleaning days to clean the school.  Cleanliness along the girls’ highway has also greatly improved. There’s still some littering during break time and visitation days due to shortage of enough dust bins around the canteen area and the school at large.

MEETINGS: There has been an improved attendance of the meetings by the councilors which has led to increased cooperation among the members.
This term, number of meetings has been held including an executive meeting, one with S1s, with the patron, and two with the class representatives. We never managed to meet the S5s because of the time factor which was brought about by the several functions that were taking place. We therefore very much apologise for that.
In these meetings, problems faced by students have been given solutions and some ideas about the council convention.

SCHOOL FUNCTIONS: This being the first term of the year, many events have taken place, not forgetting the 68years celebration by the school. It has been noted by most of the school’s population takes part during the functions.
It has also been noted that the functions take place on Sundays leaving no day for the participants to rest and get ready for the next day’s lessons. This has raised complaints amongst students who are requesting that such days should be shifted to Saturdays.

DISCIPLINE: The discipline of the students has been good but has not shown any improvements except for a few cases of indiscipline that have developed in the candidate classes of S4 and S6.
LESSONS: The school program has run normally including the lessons for each class. Complaints such as teachers’ delay in class and hence the students miss food. Some teachers dodge lessons, the shortage of furniture in labs and the science block. Also the poor desks in S1 and S2 classes, the fixed preps by S5 members.

FEEDING: A vote of thanks goes to the administration for providing food through out the term, the cooks and the people who serve who have managed to make sure that students get food to eat.
Welfare in dormitory
The welfare in the dormitories is not that welcoming though students’ leaders, the matron, and the warden have done what is humanly possible to keep them clean. Some dormitories like the S6 girls’ cubicles have leaking walls. Others have leaking roofs, while others are generally dirty. Before this point is left, the council would like to appreciate the administration for the new O level boys’ bathrooms and the renovation of the girls’ bathrooms.

FINANCE: In this, we note that mainly we got a change in office in a way that when the former finance secretary Bombenga Idris was expelled we carried out a bi election which brought Mulindwa Hamza into power. And we can say that every thing he is doing is in apple pie order.

NOISE MAKING: An increased occurrence of noise making has been noted especially in dormitories and when the teachers are absent from classes. This created an unconducive environment for study by other students.

Appreciation
We would first and foremost thank Allah the most gracious the most merciful for enabling us complete this busy term successfully and healthily.
We thank our patron Mr. Semakadde Ibrahim for the great support and encouragement given to us at the times we needed him the most.
We would also like to thank the administration for the support and the entire school community for making us who we are and cooperating with us.
